What personal data we collect and why we collect it ~
Shadowmark Productions does not collect Personal Data. We don’t care who you are. Well, we care… we just value privacy and discretion as much as you do.
For the sake of security and performance related issues, our web provider: DreamHost, and our CDN: Cloudflare, collect Non-Personally-Identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language, date and time of each visitor request, etc.
The purpose in collecting Non-Personally-Identifying information is to better serve visitors’ needs and enhance user experience.
However, visitors may choose to interact with this site in ways that require Shadowmark Productions to gather Personally-Identifying information.
Shadowmark Productions asks visitors who contact us through our site to provide an email address.
In each case, Shadowmark Productions collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with Shadowmark Productions.
Shadowmark Productions does not disclose Personally-Identifying information, nor do we use the information submitted for marketing purposes.
And visitors can refuse to supply their email, with the caveat that it will prevent them from contacting Shadowmark Productions through the website.
Our social media channels remain an avenue of communication regardless.
Contact forms ~
Our contact form does not store any additional user information.
Submitted emails are temporarily stored in an email account until deleted, which is immediately following response.
A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. Cookies contain no personal data and they are discarded when you refresh your browser history.
The only cookie we serve is necessary to provide adequate security while you visit with us.
Cookies do not damage your device. Cookies alone cannot be used to identify you.
A cookie will transport information about how you use our website to us, though the cookie itself does not keep any of the data it collects.
Apart from cookies, we also use “Local storage” and “Session storage” to help us enhance your browsing experience. Local Storage and Session Storage are stored locally on your machine; actually within your browser like cookies, history, saved pages, etc.
Local Storage and Session Storage contain ‘name/value’ pairs (i.e. postcode / “BR1 1BY”, surname / “Smith”) and a web page can only access data stored locally within its domain.
Unlike cookies the information collected by Local Storage and Session Storage is not sent to an internet server.
Local Storage is deleted once the user clears their history/cookies. Session Storage is deleted when the user closes their window tab.
Who we share your data with ~
Shadowmark Productions does not share any data. Basically, when you visit the theshadowmark.com, you’re all Michael Knight,… “a man who does not exist.”
How long we retain your data ~
All emails are deleted immediately after response is issued, which is typically within 6 hours.
What rights you have over your data ~
Even though Shadowmark Productions does not collect any personal data from our visitors, you have the right to request an exported file of the personal data any website collects about you, and you also have the right to demand that all personal data be erased. *This does not include any data the site is ultimately obliged to keep for legal, or security purposes, should the need arise. Shadowmark Productions shares your privacy concerns and takes the aggressive action of immediately deleting all user-submitted emails immediately upon response to visitor inquiries.
